Addictive pixel-art detritus-dodger, The Incident, has a whole host of new features in a free update.

In the game the heavens uncork and begin raining down all manner of junk and household objects - from white picket fences to taxi cabs - cautiously close to your protagonist's bonce.

It’s your job to avoid getting a Laundromat sign lodged in your noggin, as you climb the ever-growing mountain of crap.

The update adds Game Center support, with leaderboards for the new Endless Nightfall mode.

The new way to play is, as the name implies, a never-ending torrent of junk, and you’ve got to see how high you can go before you get a chest-of-drawers-headache. Your top scores can be posted to Twitter and will feature on your Game Center account.

The game also features 50 new items from the creators of the game, and a further three by guest artists. Plus, the cute pixel-art objects are more desirable than ever, now showing in high resolution for the Retina displays on iPhone 4 and fourth-generation iPod touch.

If that wasn’t enough, you can now control the iPad edition with an iPod touch or iPhone over Bluetooth. The app is universal, so you won’t have to pay more for the support.

The update also brings a new power-up, new music, and a host of bug fixes. If you haven’t got The Incident yet, it’ll cost you £1.19 / $1.99 / €1.59.
