Get your rock on with Guitar Hero World Tour

Mankind has been strumming tennis racquets, singing into hairbrushes, and drumming on desks with pens since long before there were video games, but it wasn’t until Guitar Hero came along that we really got the opportunity to play at being a rock star.

And now, thanks to Connect2Media, you can take your one man show on the road with Guitar Hero World Tour, the sequel to the hugely successful Guitar Hero III. Once again you can play as either Axel Steel or Judy Nails, hitting notes as they slide down the screen in time-honoured rhythm-action style, but this latest edition contains quite a few major improvements.

For a start, it’s not just about guitars any more. You can also unleash your primal percussionist by taking to the drums instead of the fretboard, adding an extra layer of challenge to each of the game’s 15 songs. The impressive tracklist is spread across three venues, and comes courtesy of such stellar artists as Motorhead, Lenny Kravitz, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins, and Blondie.

Pretending to be a rock star has never been more fun.
