We've all been there. Cute manga nun, massive scythe, heavy undead-killing action, mediaeval environments including cemetery and chapel in ruins.

Yes, like the concept of the zombie itself, the all-action zombie killing game just won't die, because frankly there's nothing more satisfying that reducing a cartoon zombie to a pile of cartoon gore and body parts.

And so it is that publisher Bulkypix and French studio Press Start have unleashed Twin Blades onto the App Store.

As well as the action, the game has role-playing features as you upgrade and train new skills using in-game currency. Of course, you also get to build up your armoury, which ranges from machine guns to explosive nukes. Those mediaeval monks were very clever, dontyerknow.

So expect loads of different zombies and death animations, while you'll also have to shake your iPhone/iPod touch to rid yourself of any zombies who grab onto you.

OpenFeint is used for the social network features such as achievements and high scores.
