Glu's new mobile titles

Game publisher Glu Mobile has just announced a crowd of new titles that are all set to release in the next couple of months.

Spearheading the lot is the high-profile Transformers mobile game based on the forthcoming summer blockbuster movie. We enjoyed Transformers mobile's slickly executed platform action when we got our hands on it briefly back in February. Hopefully by now Glu has had time to polish what was already looking promising into a mobile gem.

There is also a less action-packed set of titles featured as part of the line-up, such as Poker Pop and Kasparov Chess, both of which we covered in news a while back.

My Hangman however, a simple mobile version of the classic bored doodling word puzzle, we've not heard of before. Interestingly, My Hangman utilises your phone's camera so that you can turn yourself, or someone who you are less than fond of, into the hangman.

Last of the upcoming Glu releases is the unique sounding Frantic Factory, an original title that sees you linking conveyor belts, opening switches, and building catapults to ensure the smooth running of a busy production line. Sounds interesting and could make for a fun and involved puzzler, with a much more original premise than the swathes of matching and number-based efforts that have been clogging mobile portals since the dawn of time.

Quite a varied lot then. We're especially looking forward to getting our hands on Transformers mobile (again); those pesky Decepticons really need to be taught a lesson.
