Online DS Autobots versus Decepticons battle begins

With both the film and the games of the film already released in the US, the marketing flow from Transformers is now spreading out over Europe.

And despite Activision's local office not yet getting around to releasing any DS screenshots, at least there's this nice platform-specific movie, which demonstrates some of the 3D action – shooting, jumping, throwing, and driving – players will be getting up to:

Also worth checking out is the official Transformers DS website, which tracks the endless Spark Wars between Autobots and Decepticons, currently being hosted across the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. In the current battle (July 3rd), the bad guys are ahead 59 to 41 per cent, even though the good guys typically seem to have a numerical advantage, as well as the best performing clans.

Transformers DS, which is available in both Autobots and Decepticons editions, is due for European release July 20th. Let's hope it's better than the wonky PSP Transformers.
