New Syphon Filter coming to PSP

And it's joined by a fresh SOCOM Navy SEALs title, too

New Syphon Filter coming to PSP

Revealed at this week's Sony Gamers' Day was Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow, a follow-up to one of our favourite PSP titles of last year, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror.

The game is expected to storm the US market in the autumn, meaning we should see it in Europe some time in 2009. Sorry, we're only teasing because Dark Mirror suffered horrendous delays before eventually turning up on this side of the Atlantic.

Logan's Shadow pits you against an extremist group, naturally, and sees you venturing into unstable international locations such as the Middle East and the bottom of the Indian Ocean.

Aside from underwater combat, we can expect an improved melee system and enhanced in-game interactive cinematic moments.

We'll have a preview of this soon (click 'Track It!'), which, as you'll note from the shots above, is looking rather lovely.

In related news, Sony has also unveiled a new SOCOM: US Navy SEALs title. Tactical Strike takes the series into the real-time strategy arena. Again, expect a preview on this soon (but by all means check out the screenshots now, if you wish).
