Speed Racer accelerates towards mobile

Whether you see them as sci-fi storytelling kings or weirdo one-hit wonders, there's no denying that the new Wachowski Brothers' film, SPEED RACER (their capitals, not ours) is going to draw a lot of attention when it launches in the summer.

So it's hardly surprising that there'll be a mobile game accompanying the release (as well as the DS equivalent). Based on the original subject matter we're guessing the game will take shape as some sort of racer (our wisdom clearly dwarfs the Oracle's) but we won't know for sure until Glu lets loose some more solid details.

It is known that characters and locations from the film will be included (duh), so expect to be filling the shoes of Racer X/Speed Racer and taking the Mach 5 for a spin sometime this summer. Click 'Track It!' to keep up to date with any more news that zooms into view.
