Chillingo releases Action RPG Seed 2: Vortex of War on iPhone

Mobile publisher Chillingo has released a sequel to Final Fantasy-styled RPG Seed 1: Rise of Darkness, with Seed 2: Vortex of War now available to download on iPhone and iPod touch.

The game is an action RPG, set five years after the events of Seed 1. The game's hero Litta, now a teacher, is itching to undertake another epic quest and sets off to the city of Moizer. Unfortunately, the metropolis has been wrecked in a war, signalling a global crisis.

So it’s up to you and your completely customisable wardrobe of costumes and fancy equipment to bash on 160 different monsters throughout over 200 battlefields. You’ll also have armfuls of quests to complete, loads of villages to explore, and a massive continent to traverse.

You’ll also have to deal with the changing weather. If you don’t put on warm clothes, you could freeze to death out in the chilly snow. Like in life.

Seed 2 sticks with Chillingo's social gaming platform Crystal, instead of Game Center, where you can access leaderboards to compete against your buddies.

Seed 2: Vortex of War is available to download now on iPhone and iPod touch for £2.39 / $3.99 / €2.99. The original game can be grabbed for free, and features plenty of in-app purchases for character upgrades.
