Gameloft working on its own God of War style iPhone game

More Hero of Sparta details emerge, along with trailer

It must be a day for sneaking out new game trailers on YouTube. Now Gameloft's at it, with a video trailer for its new game, Hero of Sparta.

We first wrote about it a little earlier today. It's due for release on iPhone and regular mobiles next month. Here's the blurb:

"Take up the maddest challenge in this mythic full-3D adventure and let it bring you from the depths of the Underworld to the summit of Olympus. Be prepared for hours of gaming and visual enjoyment, and fight the most phenomenal mythical creatures in majectic 3D environments."

And the video is below, which although not gameplay footage, clearly positions the game in the same arena as God of War. Which on iPhone, also means it'll be going toe-to-toe with Kroll.

Anyway, the trailer has certainly whetted our appetite – stand by for more news when we have it.
