Horror adventure game rising from the dead

Dracula: Path of the Dragon resurrected for iPhone

Chillingo has offered us a rich, throbbing vein of hot info to sink our teeth into on the cusp of Halloween in the shape of an iPhone adaptation of last year's hit PC adventure game sequel, Dracula: The Path of the Dragon.

As fans of the series might know, this is actually the third title in the Dracula adventure game series for the PC, though being the first iPhone adaptation developer Tetraedge (which has been honing its adventure game skills recently with Jules Verne’s Secrets of The Mysterious Island) has dropped the numbering and put the third title out in its own right. This actually makes good sense, as the third game landed on PC some eight years after the first two games.

Dracula: The Path of the Dragon is set in 1920, casting you in the role of Father Arno Moriani, who is sent to investigate a potential candidate for sainthood in Transylvania.

Solving a series of complex and engaging puzzles based on medicine, history, and the occult, you follow a trail of evil through the World War I-decimated village of Vladoviste to uncover the secrets of The Path of the Dragon and come face to face with Dracula himself.

There's no word on a definite release date yet, other than some time this Autumn, but we'll keep you posted on any Dracula: The Path of the Dragon news that stalks us from the shadows.

Here's a teaser trailer to get things started.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
