Dracula: The Path of the Dragon - Part 1 out now on iPhone

Rather coincidentally it was just before Halloween last year when we first told you that Chillingo was bringing the PC adventure game Dracula: Path of the Dragon to iPhone, and now the first part of the trilogy is live (or should that be undead?).

Well, whatever it is, this is an adaptation of the third game in the PC series, in which the Vatican appoints Father Arno Moriani (that's you) to visit Transylvania and investigate a potential candidate for Catholic sainthood.

Dracula: Path of the Dragon - Part 1 contains around three hours of gameplay as you find your way around the city of Vladoviste. And although this is based on the PC game, Chillingo points out that it's not a pixel-to-pixel (dust to dust) conversion - this is a complete remake with new gameplay and new content, so it should be perfect for fans of the series to sink their teeth into, as well as newcomers (not that fans will be sinking their teeth into newcomers, but... well, you know what I mean).

Part 2 is coming soon to the App Store, and with Dracula: Path of the Dragon - Part 1 only costing 59p/99c there's no excuse not to don your crucifix and arm your crossbow.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
