Linkin Park 8-Bit Rebellion! goes on 99c sale

In the end, it’s cheaper

Linkin Park 8-Bit Rebellion! goes on 99c sale

8-Bit Rebellion!, the iPhone and iPad game from nu-metal band Linkin Park, has gone on sale for the pocket money price of 59p / 99c / €0.79c.

The game mixes retro-styled 8-bit presentation with a more contemporary high-res look. Players can, for example, make their avatar a blocky pixel representation or a big-headed cartoon. Plus, the band’s songs are played in both old skool chiptune and album versions.

Rebellion has you fighting though six Linkin Park-themed districts, beating up the PixxelKorp and eventually unlocking a new, exclusive LP track. You can also populate your world with other fans, decorate your apartment, and collect objects designed by the band members themselves.

On top of all that, the winning designs of the 8-Bit Heroes contest can be found in a gallery in-game and you can find the two top winners as characters in the world.

8-Bit Rebellion! is on sale for a limited time for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Head to the App Store to grab it, before the prices rockets back up to £2.99 / $4.99 / €3.99.
