Linkin Park leads the 8-bit Rebellion on iPhone
But in the end, does it even matter?
Is it okay to admit I don't mind some of Linkin Park's old stuff? Too soon? Oh...
In that case, I'll throw this latest news out with an air of snarkiness. Yes indeed, Linkin Park has announced its own iPhone game.
Linkin Park 8-Bit Rebellion! is the story of one man's journey to destroy the evil PixxelKorp Corporation and restore good to the world.
Apparently from the imagination of Linkin Park itself, it's a side-scrolling shoot-'em-up, featuring a number of online community customisables - like creating your little hero to look exactly how you want, and hooking up with your friends to talk battle tactics.
Of course, it wouldn't be a rock band-related game if it didn't include the hits, in original and special 8-bit form. There are also some exclusive tracks in there to unlock. Raaaad! (see, I'm totally down with the kids).
It all looks pretty silly, but if you're a Linkin Park fan, it'll probably be worth it just for the 8-bit musical adaptations. It's actually not the first time Linkin Park's music has been in an iPhone game.
Linkin Park 8-Bit Rebellion! will be out soon.
