Duckshot aims for your mobile
Shoot the duck up, punk!
As lily-livered liberal wusses, we're a bit uneasy about the prospect of spending a weekend in the countryside shooting wildlife to bits.
Especially ducks. They quack, swim around the duckpond, eat bread... What's not to love? They're certainly not deserving of a gory bullet-ridden death, in our view. Call us quackers if you want. (Sorry.)
However, when those ducks are virtual and on our mobile phone, we can be as trigger-happy as the next tweed-wearing man. And that's what Hands On is offering with its latest game, Duckshot.
The game has multiple lakes on which to hunt, a limitless supply of plucky-yet-ultimately-doomed birds, and a gun that holds 50 bullets. The better you shoot, the more rewards you earn, including collectable hunting stamps.
What's more, you can upgrade your gun via some puzzle mini-games, which sounds like a neat touch.
Hands On says the game looks and feels like a 1980s arcade game, and reckons it'll appeal to gamers and grizzled hunters alike. The game is out now in the US, and although us Brits aren't quite as keen on popping caps in poultry ass, we can't see any reason why Duckshot won't make it over here at some point too.
