Blacksmith Games' fairytale platformer Plushed had the potential to be a really good game but was hamstrung by a couple of issues.

The biggest one was the gap between checkpoints, which when combined with one-hit deaths, made for a very frustrating experience.

But the good news is the developer has been listening to player feedback and has just released an update, which it says will solve many of these problems.

"We set high value on the feedback of the community. Because of that we fixed all issues they had. Plushed is now a lot of easier and people will have more fun playing it," explains Blacksmith's CEO Johannes Seidel.

The most important change is that your bunny now has three lives and jumps higher too. I think it will make a big difference to the game.

Other new features include:

OpenFeint integration in terms of leaderboards for the three mini-games and best level times, plus Achievements.

You can now play from last checkpoint after quitting the game.

You only need to collect the ladybugs you previously missed when you replay a level.

There's a new character - the flying fish winner from Appvent Calendar contest.

Plus there's a new game icon and several bug fixes.

The improved version of Plushed is out now, priced $1.99, €1.59 or £1.19.
