Having already hit the top grossing spot in more than 30 countries, Gameloft has unveiled plans to launch MMORPG Order & Chaos Online in China.

The new Android version is set to be distributed by mobile technology specialist UCWeb, with Gameloft offering Chinese gamers a new exclusive free-to-play take on the title.

Order, no chaos

UCWeb is best known for its UC Browser technology, which delivers apps and games to mobile handsets via web brower.

For Gameloft's part, senior VP of publishing Gonzague de Vallois said UCWeb's experience in the Chinese market should stand Order & Chaos Online in good stead.

"Both UCWeb and Gameloft share the same vision of great consumer experience," said de Vallois.

"Through this collaboration with UCWeb, we can make use of UCWeb's strong market position in the field of mobile browser and their huge user base to further open up Gameloft's business development in the Chinese market, bringing a high quality game and exceptional gaming experience to more Chinese gamers."

The Chinese version of Order & Chaos Online is currently in beta, with a full launch on UCWeb's channel scheduled for the summer.

The partnership with UCWeb comes days after the French publisher signed a strategic licensing deal for Hasbro's My Little Pony and Littlest Pet Shop. The first fruits of the agreement should hit the digital shelves before the end of 2012.
