Late last month we brought you rumours of a potential new EA game called Ninja Reflex. So guess what game which company has now confirmed as being released for DS and Wii? Er, yes that's right - it's EA and Ninja Reflex.

At least now we have a few more details concerning what it's about. Developed and co-published by Nunchuck Games, it will use a series of martial arts challenges to test gamers' reflexes and reactions with millisecond precision. So if you thought catching the pencil in WarioWare was tough, we're guessing you could struggle with this one. As players develop their ninja skills, they can earn up to a black belt from their personal Sensei.

"Ninja Reflex channels the accessible multiplayer fun of Wii Sports and the self-improvement aspect of Brain Age into a martial arts universe that is ideally suited for the Wii and Nintendo DS," opined David Luntz, president and CEO of Nunchuck Games.

Multiplayer is also on the cards, and players can compete for ninja supremacy in battles for up to four friends.

Being firm fans of WarioWare style mini-gaming, we must say the idea of a similar style game which focuses on testing reactions and features ninjas is an appealing one.

Let's hope we can keep up the concentration until Ninja Reflex's planned release date of March 2008.
