Need for Speed Undercover races out onto US App Store
But is the long awaited racer still up to speed?
It was last August, when the iPhone was still a glint in Steve Jobs’s eye, that we first heard about EA bringing its Need for Speed Undercover franchise to Apple’s handset, and the game’s seen a few false starts since then.
But, finally, it seems the game’s 20 different speedster cars, like the Nissan 370Z, Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche Carrera GT have set off.
In typical EA style, the rest of the world gets to wait and watch while our American brethren speed through the highway battles and cop takeouts of Need for Speed Undercover (which landed at the expected top tier price of $9.99 - or £5.99) but we’re expecting to see it skid onto the UK store pretty soon.
Get ready for our full review coming shortly, and in the meantime you can check out the mobile, N-Gage, DS and PSP review to see how the iPhone version shapes up.
