Lex is an intriguing word game that's set to hit the App Store and the Google Play Store this Thursday.
You're given a bunch of letters that are worth a varying amount of points and have to put them into words.
Each letter also has a timer. The higher the score, the longer the timer. An E might not last any time at all, but a Q will hang around a lot longer.
You need to get make a word with the letters before the timer ticks down. As soon as you miss a letter it's game over.
Lex looks gorgeous, and as you add words to your pile and increase your multiplier, amazing patterns of letters start to appear in the background.
It's not that often that a fresh-feeling word game drops into our inbox, and while Lex might borrow some concepts from other more established lexicographical titles, it adds a lot of its own ideas as well.
The game is set to land on the Google Play Store and the App Store this Thursday for 69p / 99c.
