Korg DS-10 synthesiser turbocharged for DSi
Coming with added Plus
For those of a bleepy disposition - we mean musically, not cussing-wise - AQ Interactive's DS version of the Korg DS-10 synthesiser was nothing less than a miracle of software engineering.
As our reviewer - and self-confessed electrogeek - Olly Farshi pointed out: "As a piece of studio gear for the electronic composer, this is an interesting tool and one that represents immense value for money."
Well, now it seems that the entry of the DSi means all that times two.
Launching the new product, in front of an enthusiastic crowd, Denj Sano said the enhanced DSi hardware - we assume he was referring to the additional RAM - means that the software, which is labelled Korg DS-10+ can operate in dual mode.
This meant that as well as new features such a real time editing and an expanded song mode, you'll be able to use four instead of the original two analogue synths, eight drum machines instead of four, and 12 tracks, up from the original six.
Other changes include a lower pricepoint - ¥3990 (£25/$42) down from ¥ 4800 (£30/$50). The game should also be available through standard retail channels as opposed to the online-only sales of Korg DS-10.
You can check out more details from the AQ Interactive site, although they're currently in Japanese, alas.
