Forthcoming shooter Kid Icarus: Uprising to be bundled with official 'Nintendo 3DS Stand' peripheral

It's positively raining Kid Icarus: Uprising news at the moment.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's Circle Pad Pro Kid Icarus: Uprising announcement, the game's director Masahiro Sakurai has revealed on Twitter that the forthcoming 3DS third-person shooter will come bundled with a special peripheral.

According to Sakurai, the official "Nintendo 3DS Stand" (which you can check out below) is designed so that you can comfortably lay your 3DS down, control protagonist Pit with the console's analogue stick, and still use your stylus to blast enemies with ease.

While the unattractive stand appears to be nothing more than a simple hunk of plastic, it does look like it'll come in extremely handy - you won't have to support the full weight of the 3DS in one palm, for one thing.

Unfortunately, we don't really have any other details at present. We're not even sure if this peripheral will be released outside of Japan.
