Hero of Sparta II coming to iPhone

Brutal action series Hero of Sparta will continue blood-letting the mythological creatures of the ancient world in an iPhone and iPod touch sequel.
Gameloft has announced Hero of Sparta II is coming to both devices soon, marking a new chapter in the young hack 'n' slash franchise.
No mention is made of an iPad version, though given the publisher's enormous slate of launch games it's safe to bet that a high-definition iPad edition is in the works too.
Details on the game are sparse aside from the fact you'll once again be taking up the sword and shield of Sparta's most accomplished warrior. The debut trailer hints at an epic battle against a seaborne creature, which is likely the fabled hydra from the myth of Hercules.
The game will be playable in May at Gameloft's 10th anniversary celebration in Paris. A contest for a paid excursion to the party is being held at Gameloft's YouTube account. Naturally, we'll be there for a hands-on report.
Hero of Sparta II will be available for iPhone and iPod touch later this year.
