Dungeon Explorer on PSP will have its own unique type of fighting style when it's released next month.

Which might not sound like the world's most exciting revelation... It's not up there with Einstein's theory of relativity, let alone the news Amy Winehouse has been caught toking on a crack pipe, but bear with us because it does sound quite cool.

Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts (to call it by its full name) is a party-based RPG which lets three different players team up in its Ad-Hoc multiplayer mode. And this mode is where the PSP's special moveset Big Bang Arts comes in.

Players can choose from and upgrade hundreds of different variations of weapons, armour and equipment and warfare styles, but Big Bang Arts are exceptionally destructive moves that all three players participate in. By all the players overlapping their sights and then timing the move correctly, the triple-power attack is unleashed on the poor enemy. Big Bang Arts also have individual attributes so the right one needs to be used on the right enemy.

DS owners don't get the special move, but they do get a hundred-odd others, so they won't have too much cause to complain. Hudson says both versions will be on North American shop shelves mid-February. As yet, there aren't any details of a European release though.
