Crayola Treasure Adventures draws nearer to release

Publishers sending out links to new websites this colourful should issue sunglasses in advance. Still, sifting through the new website for Crayola Treasure Adventures is certainly a chirpier and more refreshing way to start a day than a MacDonalds breakfast or six cups of coffee.

In case you haven't read our previous stories, this is a kids' adventure starring walking, talking Crayola crayons (just get with the LSD).

Is there an adult alive today who hasn't ever owned some Crayola crayons at some point in their lives? No - and for that reason we can't help but be quite endeared by a game starring walking, talking crayons, even if it's not exactly designed for our age group.

During the game, players need to seek out and rescue 120 Crayola crayons by solving puzzles, playing mini-games and colouring things. Once a colour has been collected it's added to your collection for use in a digital colouring book that contains over 100 pictures.

Previously due for release at the start of 2008, it looks like Crayola Treasure Adventures might have slipped a little as European publisher Ignition now says April. Check out the game's newly launched website here - but just be warned, it is bright.
