Chopper 2 on your TV, controlled by your iPhone
The most expensive console ever
Yesterday, you might have seen a video of upcoming iPhone and iPad sequel Chopper 2 being played on an iPad, with the iPhone acting as a Bluetooth controller.
Well, Majic Jungle Software has gone one bigger by plugging the iPad into a 42" telly through the standard Apple component cable, and using the iPhone to control the action.
What you get is a rather amusing proof of concept, simply because it's more expensive to play Chopper 2 like this than buy any home console. Even the cheapest way of doing it (8GB iPod touch, 16GB wi-fi iPad (price approximated) and Apple Component Cable) would cost about £623, way more than the most expensive platform, the £350 PS3.
Majic Jungle writes: "This setup uses only available public/documented APIs so could technically be made available. However this is only a proof of concept, the initial release of Chopper 2 may not feature this functionality."
Chopper 2 will be coming to iPhone and iPad soon, and will feature 36 missions in 12 different locations.
