We've written about the opportunities Facebook gives mobile game publishers to promote their titles before. Digital Chocolate's Tower Bloxx already has a healthy audience, while RealArcade has launched a test version of Playman Summer Games 2.

I-play is the latest mobile firm to catch onto the trend, launching a Facebook application based on its new Bubble Town mobile game. The idea is the same: fire bubble-like 'borbs' at each other to make combos of three or more, which disappear.

It's also fearsomely, utterly addictive as a Facebook app. I've had to tear myself away from it to write this story.

The game itself is good, and it seamlessly ties into your friend list, so you can see how your score compares to theirs (we're currently duking it out with the great and the good of the mobile industry, with our so-so score of 35,785 points).

Try it now here. Just make sure you don't have any work to do first.
