Why be Robert Plant, Dave Grohl, or Caleb Followill when you can be the... Cowbell Hero!
Making moo-sic
Many people dream of being in a rock band. They fantasise about performing in front of thousands of people, thrashing away on lead guitar, or blowing up drum kits like a modern-day Keith Moon. Some even dream of playing keys. Strange people.
There's one role, though, that's so important in a rock 'n' roll band that only the greatest... oh, I can't keep this up.
There's a game on the way where you play the cowbell. There you go. Job done.
Anyways, it's called Cowbell Hero, and it's a rhythm-action game that bears more than a passing resemblance to Guitar Hero.
So, you'll, er, clank along to such tunes as Marvin Gaye's 'Got to Give It Up', 'Rock Me' by Steppenwolf, and many other musical classics.
If you think that playing the cowbell is a pretty dull job, by the way, think again. Instead of playing in time to one coloured bar in this game, you'll play in time to two of them. Yes, TWO! Rock on, Tommy.
Cowbell Hero is out next month on iOS. Expect a console release soon, complete with plastic cowbell peripheral.
