Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee is bouncing its way over to iOS and Android
Told you so
We were right. Oddworld Inhabitants has confirmed that its tease the other day was for a mobile version of Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee.
It's being developed by Square One Games, which is the studio that previously brought us Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD on mobile. So cheer or groan accordingly.
Despite Munch's Oddysee being released way back in 2001 on the original Xbox, we here at Pocket Gamer are no strangers to it.
How so? Well, it came out on PS Vita last year, didn't it? Yes, it did. And we gave it a Silver Award because we liked it.
It has you playing as Munch, who is among the last of the Gabbits, as well as Abe from the other Oddworld games. You'll need to use each of their unique powers to fight back against the evil Vykkers corporation that enslaved and ate the rest of their species.
But, more importantly, will Square One Games be able to overcome the issues with the controls we had with the Stranger's Wrath port, which was its biggest let down?
We can only hope so. We'll find out whenever it arrives on iOS and Android. Unless, that is, you head out to E3 next week and get to play it there before its launch.
