Calling All Cars speeding towards PSP

Calling All Cars speeding towards PSP

Currently found on the PlayStation Network (PSN) to play on PS3 (version pictured), Calling All Cars will soon be available for PSP.

According to the latest issue of PSP – The Official Guidebook, the PSP version of the title – a fun, cartoon-shaded up-to-four-player party game affair in which you race around town, chasing down a criminal with the aim of being the first to whiz them back to jail – is expected to offer "comprehensive multiplayer modes in both ad-hoc and infrastructure".

None of this is a revelation, to be fair, given that Sony Europe president, David Reeves, had suggested repurposing the game for PSP in an interview last month.

What remains a mystery at this stage is how the game will be delivered. If via the PSN service, that would limit the audience to PS3 owners, which seems like a bit of a silly move. A full-on download from the official PSP site could be a possibility, assuming Sony is prepared to kick off that side of things. Certainly, what is unlikely is a UMD release – the costs involved would make such a release unfavourable.

Undoubtedly, Sony will reveal all in due course.
