Gameloft cranks it up to 11 with Guitar Legend

There's nothing better than air-guitaring around your bedroom with the stereo whacked up loud, before sinking to your knees and bellowing, 'HELLO WEMBLEEEEEEY!'.

Or is that just us? Oh.

Even so, Guitar Legend by Gameloft promises to be the most rawktastic mobile game ever. Seemingly inspired by the popular Guitar Hero range of console games, it sees you hitting keypad buttons to play big rock riffs. And what riffs.

Gameloft has signed up some suitably legendary songs for the game's soundtrack. Deep Purple's 'Smoke On The Water', Nirvana's 'Heart-Shaped Box', Iron Maiden's 'Run To The Hills' and, oh yes, The Scorpions' 'Rock You Like A Hurricane'.

Okay, so Bloc Party and The Police are also on there, but we'll gloss over them.

Each song will come in three different lengths, to suit quick gameplay bursts or full on wig-outs. And there's a Rock Star game mode that sees you making your way from unknown musician to full-on guitar god, including special Duel levels where you strum against boss characters.

You play in five different locations, too, including your garage, a local bar, a national hall, a stadium and a proper festival. Plus, there's five characters and ten guitars to unlock as you play through the game.

Tune in to further Guitar Legend updates by clicking 'Track It!'.
