Everyday English Trainer will have you talking like a native

Gameloft launches English language training mobile game

"Cor blimey, mate, I was loving a duck last night till me apples and pears ached – it's cause a right old kerfuffle with the trouble 'n' strife, I can tell you."

That's how all us English people talk, honest. Well, some of the time. If we're Dick Van Dyke. Oh, alright, it's all a sham. And what's more, we don't really like tea, cucumber sandwiches, or 'le vice anglais', as French publisher Gameloft might call it.

Thankfully, there's no cockney ridiculousness in Gameloft's new mobile game. Instead, Everyday English Trainer makes it possible to learn proper, useful English, in the guise of an accessible brain-training game.

It offers several exercises a day designed to improve your language skills in practical, everyday situations (such as coping with an angry Londoner shouting at you for getting in their way on the pavement).

It's a neat idea, and hopefully Gameloft will be releasing similar games for other languages in the near future.
