Greek video footage shows PlayStation Phone in action
|

If you search for 'PlayStation Phone' on Pocket Gamer, the first story you'll find dates from way back in April 2007. If you venture out into the world wide web, you'll find stories dating from September 2006, when Sony Ericsson bigwig Rikko Sakaguchi hinted that the company was “working on something”.

It's been a long road, but over the last few weeks mounting rumours and leaked images have all but confirmed that the PlayStation Phone exists, with December 9th the rumoured announcement date. It's almost thought to be an Android slide-out device, called the Sony Ericsson Z1 and codenamed Zeus. It's purported to run Google's Gingerbread Android OS.

The slide-out section of the pictured phone features eight face buttons and a touchpad between them, which will serve in place of analogue sticks.

The latest episode of the saga is the video below. Descriptively named Greek tech blog techblog.gr has apparently obtained footage of the device in action. The video below is frustratingly vague in what it shows - no slide-out section, no close up, no games - but at least shows that the screen is fairly responsive. And real.
