First details of GTA: Liberty City Stories
Despite its planned release being only a month or so away, Rockstar’s still keeping many details about GTA: Liberty City Stories close to its chest. What has emerged however is its basic gameplay.
This will follow the standard GTA-style with you running, shooting and driving your way through missions, as well as making your own freestyle fun, within an open city environment. Graphically Liberty City Stories will look very much like the PlayStation2 versions of GTA, although you won’t be able to go into buildings.
Plot-wise, the game is set three years before GTA3 where you play the character of Toni Cipriani, a gangster making his way up the greasy pole of organised crime. Your main enemies will be the Triads and as your missions become more complex so you’ll start having to deal with heavy metal such as Hummer vehicles and trucks full of explosives.
Rockstar remains tight-lipped about other PSP extras such as whether multiplayer modes will be included, although downloads such as new vehicles, character skins and perhaps even missions are expected.
GTA: Liberty City Stories should be released sometime in September or maybe October - hopefully before November.
