Etolis: Arena update adds tower defense mode, numerous bug fixes
Top-down shooter gets a remake in new 1.2 version
A new updated version of twin-stick shooter Etolis: Arena released today introduces tons of new content and numerous bug fixes.
The 1.2 version of the top-down shooter intends to address a long list of criticisms that were at the heart of the game's decidedly underwhelming reception.
Included in the update is a new tower defence mode called Champion in which you protect fleeing civilians from waves of enemies. Four playable characters have also been added across all modes.
New character upgrades, two new turrets, and the addition of an Easy difficulty mode are noted. Better still, developer Facet Studios points out that numerous bugs have been fixed and minor features have been added.
For instance, auto-aiming is purportedly smoother, the graphics resolution improved, and AI tweaked for balancing.
Etolis: Arena is available for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad as a universal app for £1.19/$1.99.
