Good for iPhone. Better for iPad?

SimCity was one of the first games normal people played and talked about with their friends. Basically, it wasn’t embarassing.

But more than that, everyone likes to be in charge of the levers of power; deciding about taxes, zoning, transport and the like. The world we have no control over was handed to us in simple microcosm form. No wonder it sold millions.

So will a fantasy version work on iPhone? Definitely on iPad I reckon although in its announcement about We Rule, ngmoco makes no specific mention of this. Indeed, it might be rolled out onto Facebook... Well I reckon that too.

As for the first details to be revealed, ngmoco says;

“In We Rule, you will govern your very own kingdom. You will act as a city planner and landscaper - customising your realm with buildings, banners, and botany. You’ll decide what crops to plant and ensure they are harvested on time. You will collect taxes from your citizens and manage a variety of shops and businesses - from bakeries and inns to lumber mills and ore mines.”

Developer Newtoy is interesting too. It’s a start up out of Ensemble Studios, the guys behind the Age of Empires strategy PC series, as well as Halo Wars.

Sounding pretty sweet already then.
