War Thunder Mobile, a mobile version of the popular vehicle combat sim, opens global beta test for Android

Developer Gaijin Entertainment has officially opened up beta testing for the highly anticipated mobile rendition of their extremely successful vehicular combat simulator War Thunder. Available as an APK download for Android users on the official website, this beta will give players a taste of how this popular war game will play right in their pocket.

War Thunder has and will likely remain for quite some time a massive success. You’ve almost certainly seen it or heard word of it at least, be that in a sponsored YouTube segment or on top of the Steam most played games list. This vehicular combat simulation game features a ton of different tanks, helicopters, planes, and boats to do battle within.

Whether you’re a fan of intense and realistic simulation or someone who just wants to hop into a biplane and tear up some old World War II enemies, this is the game for you. It can get as in-depth as you want it to, featuring realistic vehicle physics and damage models that go so far as to include the penetration factor of different types of ammo on different parts of your vehicle, be that a tank or a fighter jet!

This has made War Thunder a massive hit for a lot of gamers, and now mobile users will finally be able to try it out for themselves. This beta version will include a limited suite of vehicles and game modes, but the progression you make within the beta will carry over to the full release, so there’s plenty of reason to dig your teeth into it.

That means that your vehicle unlocks, which can be quite grindy, and your account level will all carry over when the game does finally release later on. So, if you want to get a head start and chip away at unlocking all of the fun the game has for you, give that beta a go by downloading it from the website for free right now!
