Out at midnight: Walkr turns your steps into strange, adorable space exploration

Walkr lets you turn the walking you do every day into exploration of space and its many weird and wonderful planets.
It uses a pedometer to track your steps. These are then turned into "walking energy", which you can use in Walkr to advance through the galaxy.
The game will tell you how many calories you burn and will set recommended goals for you to reach every day as well.
If the call for more walking and keeping in shape isn't enough to appeal, then the space oddities should be.
The planets range from (a literal) Caramel Apple to Octopus Cavern and Heart of Flames. You'll meet the aliens that live on these planets and complete missions for them, too.
If you're getting bored of your own galaxy then you can hop into your friends' universe and check theirs out for a change of scenery.
Walkr will be free to download when it arrives on the UK and US App Stores at midnight.
