Gameloft did a thoroughly decent job of bringing Mattel’s classic card game Uno to the iPhone recently, landing itself a well earned Bronze Award.

It seems the partnership is growing in strength, as a new conversion of Uno is now coming to the mobile platform from the same team.

It’s also been going down a storm on Xbox Live Arcade, so perhaps now is the perfect time to reintroduce the iGeneration to the simple yet addictive family card game. Gameloft's president Michel Guillemot thinks it is.

"This agreement is the first step towards a long and successful relationship between Mattel, one of the world's premier toy companies and Gameloft, the global leader in video game development. Uno is one of the most recognised card games in the world and we are excited to extend it beyond mobile and onto a whole host of console executions."

It’s not the first time Uno’s been adapted for the mobile, of course, with a 2-4-1 type bundle being released only a few months ago by previous licensors, Oasys, though it didn’t manage to impress as well as Gameloft’s iPhone app. Perhaps this revamped mobile version will fare a little better?
