Undecember's latest update is out now, featuring a story expansion and new challenge mode
Line Games Corporation has finally launched the first major content update of 2023 for its hack-and-slash ARPG, Undecember. Titled Episode III Ortemis, this update contains new maps, quests, bosses, and NPCs alongside a Challenge Mode and renewal of the Chaos Dungeon. Players can also expect more raid content, crafting, and other runes.
Ortemis builds on Undecember’s ongoing narrative with the release of the third story arc that begins with Act 11. It takes place within Ortemis, which is Traum’s medical nation. Overall, episode three will feature four themes, 24 main stages and nine sub-stages. For all the hunters out there, the update will also include eight strong bosses, 100 new monsters, and 74 NPCs to interact with.
Most fans will have been waiting for the Challenge Mode to launch. It has been created for endgame players to make their experience more challenging. It will change the difficulty of episodes for rewards like Stardust of Evolution which can be used to increase Zodiac Trait Points and Maximum Point Limit of Zodiac Specialization Constellations.
Another feature the veteran players can look forward to is the Chaos Dungeon renewal. The Chaos Statue level for unlocking these high-level dungeons has been reset and the difficulty has been raised too. Monsters up to level 120 will drop more valuable loot and there will be new Authority Bosses that can bestow new Authority Effects.
The update also introduces 16 new Skill Runes and 20 new Link Runes. Players can test the newly added Trap Runes that belong to the former category and are activated when enemies are detected. To top it all off, a Chaos-level raid called The Archmages of Caspol has been added to Undecember and it will include more patterns and better rewards in exchange for greater cooperation.
