Mobigame's Trucker's Delight iPhone on sale, 59p/99c for the rest of the week
Harass women for less
Mobigame's Trucker's Delight – which is based on a deeply distasteful music video in which a pixel-art trucker pursues and then rapes a woman – came out a couple of weeks ago to a lukewarm reception.
While retaining details from the original video, like the ability to lick the clothes off several women in a stretch hummer, it manages not to be quite as offensive as it might have been – no doubt a disappointment to some and a relief to others.
However, its inoffensiveness sadly extends beyond the aesthetic and into the gameplay, which recalls ageing '80s classic Out Run.
Which is to say, it's a bit boring.
It does have defenders, however, not least in the form of our own Ben Maxwell, who compared it on a recent podcast to Doodle Jump. He'll be expanding upon that comparison in a forthcoming article.
