A game to look out fore: Super Stickman Golf 2 driving onto iOS fairway later this year

Noodlecake Games has announced that a sequel to its Pocket Gamer Bronze Award-winning Super Stickman Golf game is in the works and that it should pitch up on the App Store by the end of 2012.

According to the developer, the newly announced Super Stickman Golf 2 will contain "all the classic features and modes you know and love", along with a Puzzle mode, new power-ups, and - to keep things interesting - some new hazards.

Noodlecake has also confirmed that Super Stickman Golf 2 will feature asynchronous multiplayer, which is a rather nice nice addition.

A spot of tee?

Released at the end of 2010 on iOS, Super Stickman Golf soon became immensely popular on account of its retro stylings and casual golf aesthetic.

While many modern golf titles play out against lush 3D backdrops, Noodlecake opted for a minimalist graphical - ahem - approach with the 2D side-on Super Stickman Golf.

If you are looking to brush up on your swing in preparation for Super Stickman Golf 2, you can pick up the original from the App Store for the all-too-tempting price of nothing for a limited time.
