It must be a good time to be a stuntman. Even TV soap operas are running explosive car crashes; Eastenders reportedly splurged a seven-figure sum on its recent automobile set piece, and still didn't manage to kill off Ian Beale.

Fancy a crack at life in the fast lane, then rolling over several times in the hard shoulder before bursting into flames? You'll be wanting THQ Wireless' newie Stuntman Ignition then.

It's a sideways-scrolling game that puts you in the hotseat for three movies, which each contain nine scenes packed with stunts.

Cars include sedans, police cars and pick-up trucks, and there are three modes to play: Career, Single and Co-Star Challenge (the latter is pass-the-handset multiplayer). Along the way, you'll be able to win awards for your bravery, such as the 'Aviation Award' for the longest jump.

Stuntman Ignition sounds promising, and is already out to buy on some operator portals, so click 'Track It!' for an email alert when we publish our review.
