Following news that Street Fighter IV will be coming to the iPhone, it now looks like Capcom are thinking of releasing the title for the PSP as well.

Capcom Project Manager Natsuki Shiozawa has revealed on her blog that many inside Capcom are keen on seeing the legendary fighting series make an appearance on Sony’s portable powerhouse.

The PSP has already seen other big name fighting titles successfully make their way across the platform divide, like the excellent Tekken: Dark Resurrection back in 2006, so it’s not impossible to imagine SFIV on the system.

It’s also arguably a much better fit than the iPhone as the PSP’s D-pad would be a far more effective way to spam fireballs - sorry, ‘perform special moves’ - than a touchscreen.
