Dodge balls, whales, and camper vans in hectic party game Stikbold!
Flying on to Ouya and GameStick when ready
Dodgeball is a great sport. Mostly because you get to pelt your friends with balls. That's the objective of the game; hurt people. Well, close enough.
With that in mind, Stikbold! takes the core tenets of dodgeball as its core and ramps them up to crazy levels. Let's add whales and camper vans to the mix, because why not?
Stikbold! was originally made in 48 hours as a prototype for the Nordic Game Jam. It did pretty well, too, being voted "Most Fun" out of 470 other games, and placing third overall.
It's won more awards since then as well, but you get the point. Throwing balls at people in a circular arena, and performing gymnastics and dives to dodge those flying towards you is fun.
Stikbold! has a new pre-alpha trailer showing off how far its come in recent months. It's also been announced for Ouya and GameStick when it's finished.
With single player, multiplayer, and various silly modes that allow those who are "out" to help their team mates with vehicles and animals, Stikbold! is a promising party game.
