But only in Canada at the moment

French developer Godzilab certainly made a splash with its first iPhone game, the quirky physics puzzler iBlast Moki.

It's changed direction somewhat for its follow up.

StarDunk is a free online game, which is described as "a futuristic game combining the best of basket, massive online competition and retro games".

Toss it up

It appears to mix simple controls - you move balls around the earth into shiny targets or baskets - together with many players to create complex competitive gameplay.

There are 15 balls for you to unlock, each of which has its own capabilities, while bonuses enable you to bulk up your score.

The Plus+ network is used for the all-important tracking of highscores as Godzilab reckons fighting your way to the top of the leaderboards will be the game's key appeal.

However, as seems to be the standard mode of operation for Plus+ games, StarDunk is currently only available from the Canadian App Store, while the backend infrastructure is tested.

We hope it's released globally soon.
