Beatshapers brings space pinball to the PS Vita with StarDrone Extreme

PlayStation 3 owners may already be familiar with Beatshapers's StarDrone, a pinball-inspired high score chaser in which you slingshot your craft around each space-themed level, collecting space trinkets as you go.

Beatshapers has announced that it's bringing the game to the PS Vita in the form of StarDrone Extreme, which boasts extra levels; touchscreen and rear touchpad controls; and cloud save integration with the PS3 version.

That last feature means, of course, that those of you who regularly dabble with StarDrone on the PS3 can continue your game on the Vita version while on the move. Then, once you're back home, you can carry on playing from where you left off on your PS3. Handy.

Should you be lucky / rich enough to bag yourself a Vita during its launch window, you'll be able to experience StarDrone Extreme's unique brand of slingshot space exploration in early March, when it will be available to download from the PSN Store.
