The iPhone's Spirit is a little like Geometry Wars, but instead of classic pew-pew shooting, you loop around enemies to create impromptu blackholes and suck the on-screen nasties into the void.

It's a great little game, and it'll only set you back 59p, but I often wonder how it'd work if the screen was just a little bigger. Well, I can stop wondering as Spirit HD has been submitted to the App Store for iPad.

The game features a 60 per cent larger play area, more enemies on screen, and it all runs at a super smooth 60 frames per second. You can also play in both Landscape and Portrait at any moment in the game.

Developer Marco Mazzoli says the game will feature some exciting new iPad exclusive feature in a future update.

With Apple's turnaround times, the game should be available to download in the next couple of weeks.
