Kindle Fire version of Skylanders: Cloud Patrol will let you order monsters to your doorstep

In-app purchases just got real

Kindle Fire version of Skylanders: Cloud Patrol will let you order monsters to your doorstep

The Kindle Fire version of Skylanders: Cloud Patrol will allow you to order Skylanders toys from within the app and immediately unlock their digital counterparts.

In a first for the massively successful Skylanders series, you will no longer have to wait 3-5 days for your chosen creature to arrive in the post.

Instead, taking advantage of the Kindle Fire's "always logged in" functionality and Amazon's 1-Click purchasing system, you will be able to browse the Skylanders toy collection from within the game, buy a beastie, and then instantly start using it to blast trolls.

The iOS version of Skylanders: Cloud Patrol earned a Pocket Gamer Silver Award back in April, thanks mainly to the game's entertaining marriage of gallery shooter mechanics and engaging cartoon visuals.

And since it's compatible with the Spyro's Adventure toys (pictured above) - which can cost anything from £5 up - there are over 30 Skylanders waiting to be bought and unlocked.

If you don't mind coughing up for an entire bestiary of plastic critters, Skylanders: Cloud Patrol is now available for Kindle Fire on the Amazon Appstore, priced at 99c [buy].
