Earlier this week we gave you the low-down on the 25 nominees for this year's IMG Awards, the international mobile gaming awards dedicated to celebrating innovative new mobile concepts.

Today we can reveal that one nominee, 3D silhouette matching game SIL, has already scooped some silverware by winning Best Mobile Game in the 2006 Forum Nokia PRO Awards.

The game, published by Telcogames, beat off competition from Blaze's first-person shooter Lock n' Load 2 and Capcom's Warriors of Fate to scoop the gong for best Smartphone title.

SIL was praised for its innovative gameplay, eye-catching graphics and simple, intuitive controls, as well as its maddeningly addictive nature. All of which makes us even keener to get our mitts on the little devil, which is launching across Europe in the very near future.

Enda Carey, Telcogames MD of central publishing, was understandably stoked, no doubt supping a celebratory champagne or two as he stated, "I'm thrilled SIL has achieved this award, it's a true testament to the success of our development studios and the talent of the individuals behind them."
