The place where fish walk without a pint of Guinness in sight

If fish had legs, would they be harder to batter? It's a question that, doubtlessly, keeps chipmongers awake at night the length and breadth of the land. And there's still no firm answer.

Shadow Zone probably won't change that, featuring as it does a bunch of walking fish who've never been near a deep fat fryer. Oh, and it's also got blind dogs for good measure. Confused? Don't worry, there's a logical explanation: thermo-nuclear meltdown. As usual.

The game is a strategy title where you control 'fortune hunters' who have to battle enemies, collect rare artifacts and generally get nostalgic about the days when your main fish-related worry was whether to grill or poach.

The top-down visuals should appeal to fans of the turn-based strategy genre, while Ojom's promise that the game plays like 'dystopian chess' could pull in more mobile gamers.

Shadow Zone is due out this month. Click 'Track It!' to see how much we carp about it in our forthcoming review. (Sorry.)
